The general aim of the Friends of Hoddles Creek is to preserve and improve wildlife habitat in the Hoddles Creek area.
The specific aims of the group are:
To raise awareness in our community about wildlife, habitat, and conservation issues;
To undertake environmental remediation work in selected areas of public land in the Hoddles Creek area;
To share knowledge and network within the group, with neighbours, and with the local community, to improve the habitat and natural environment of our own properties and surrounding areas;
To determine and implement actions needed to redress any adverse environment impacts identified
To identify native flora and fauna existing in the area and document changes over time;
To monitor the spread of weeks, feral animals and agricultural chemicals in the area;
To develop a seed bank and nursery for indigenous species for use in regeneration areas
To support work of the group by seeking grants and undertaking fundraising activities
